Random Humans (Canada) – “Kamikaze” (Official Video)

Random Humans

Random Humans return to the Canadian hip-hop scene in 2014 with their third release, “Kamikaze”. The six track EP brings a unique sound to the table, blending hard-hitting lyricism (Deception) with in-depth production (Noah the Mind), guaranteed to draw major attention. Since day one, Random Humans have been set on their path to create a new sound, free from the repetitive stereotypes in the current hip-hop scene. Looking to establish a high quality original sound, Random Humans began working with producer/artist manager Rob Shallcross (Dark Angel, Gene Hoglan, 3 Inches Of Blood, Strapping Young Lad). The three artists hit it off immediately!

Working to further their unique sound, break the mold, and redefine genre borders, Juno award winning engineer Rob Shallcross and his metal resume was a perfect addition to the group. “Kamikaze” features guest appearances by some of heavy metal’s finest, including guitar work performed by Laura Christine (Meldrum, Warface) and Justin Hagberg (3 Inches of Blood), as well as bass guitar performed by Vincent Price (Body Count), Pete Griffin (Ex Zappa Plays Zappa, Dethklok), and Aaron Boon Gustafson (Ancients). Juno award winning violinist Meredith Bates (Pugs And Crows) is also featured on the EP.

During 2 years on the road with “Over Your Head”, Random Humans had the pleasure of touring Canada with a number of hip-hop’s most legendary artists. The impressive list includes KRS-ONE, The Beatnuts, Awol 1/Abstract Rude/2mex, Sunspot Jonz/Eligh/Scarub (Living Legends), Kool Keith, Tech N9ne, and even an overseas tour in Europe with ONYX. Along the way, the group also shared stages with RA the Rugged Man, Red Man, Mad Child, Maestro, Del The Funky Homosapien, and Blackalicious.

“Kamikaze”, is set to release in the spring of 2014 and is the best representation of the group’s work to date. With a fourth project in the works, certain to exceed the predecessors, Random Humans continue to focus on progression and bringing their live show to a city near you!
