Tell us a little about yourself. Where you are from? How long have you been making Hip Hop?
San Antonio, TX. I’ve been writing music since 2010 but started recording in 2012
What influences you in making Hip Hop?
to show everyone real rap is still around and it wont die just cause the worst rappers are the most famous
Describe your music, and what separates you from other MCs?
Hard hitting and lyrical to the bone. I feel im separated by the fact that i focus more on the lyrics and delivery than a lot of “MCs”, most are obsessed with the beat and how to ride it then putting actual ability and craftsmanship into the lyrics.
Who have you collaborated with? Who would you like to collab with in the near future?
I have collaborated with Diabolic, Kollapse, TraMatiK, Twisted Insane, Skitzo, JJ The Wicked, Vinnie Paz, Engineer, and C-Lance. I would love to work with Rhyme Asylum, Apathy, Esoteric, and Immortal Technique
Your definition of “Underground Hip Hop”?
Gritty, Real, Down to earth quality music with passion so much that it becomes a piece of the actual creator like an extension of self in a sense.
Production wise, who are your influences? Who does your production? And who would you like to work with?
I’m influence by legends like C-Lance, Stoupe The Enemy Of Mankind, Engineer, And my personal producer/mixer/engineer/label mate Skitzo.
Any current or future projects you are promoting?
My EP Coming Of Age Dropping sometime early 2015 and a mixtape that will follow it but that’s a work in progress.
Can you give us a brief description of the creative process of Cypher? Also/ what was the idea or concept description about your Album Art Cover.
I actually didn’t know it was going to be on my EP JJ The Wicked sent me the beat and asked me to do a verse so i thought it was going to be a collab on their album Bipolar. I just asked if i could have it and he said that was ok so i ended up with one of my best songs and singles by chance pretty much. The cover hasn’t been released yet but its a pretty wild concept it will be a re-creation of the evolution poster but instead of ape to man itll be different versions of me as if im evolving into the person i am today
