Toni Hustle – Q&A Interview

Toni Hustle

Tell us a little about yourself. Where you are from? How long have you been making Hip Hop?

I was born in Germany my parents was in the military. From there we shot back to the states and started out in  Augusta Georgia. My people split early so really from there I been the only child so a lot of thing I learned coming up or fights i was in i pretty much had to get myself out of by myself  I have no older brother or nothing like that. But at the same time that shit gave me the gift of insight since I have no annoying siblings  I became able to focus on the small details in life then later on i kinda developed a  guess you could say six sense like ability to focus on any kind of detail all together probably why I fucks with music the way I do. Then we moved to North Carolina then my mom remarried and we settled in Broward County Florida when I was bout 11.

What influences you in making Hip Hop?

Honestly ……… The BITCHES!!!!!! naw I”m just playing lol  keep it 100 other than making a living what really gives my heart a beat is hearing new and innovating sounds even lyrics it can be the same word but can you say it in a way it’s never been said that’s the kind of shit that breathes air in my lungs.

Describe your music, and what separates you from other MCs?

I Mean its crazy because I cant speak for everybody else but my music is a reflection of me and how I’m truthfully feeling even at this moment now how would you describe in 1 word several pieces to the soul. But with that being  if you still care about lyrics and stories that acutely make you feel like you are there then take off time is here. But what I would say  sets me apart, I don’t follow the machine. I go against the grain from what the industry wants I’m probably  fucking up deals just by saying that but I’m not afraid to have fun and make people laugh but I’m not so funny that I can continue to stand by and ignore the issue that I have yet to hear other artist speak bout till this day if I don’t do anything else I will invoke thought.

Who have you collaborated with? Who would you like to collab with in the near future?

I call him the Puerto Rican  Justin Timberlake lol his name is Rob Allen an up and coming singer who beginning to make a name for him self in the south Florida circuit as well as the very talented sheena O Murray another rising star that’s  moving fast through the ranks who also staring in the movie “Bleu”  directed by A Jones. As far as the near future i would like to co-lab with greats like Ceelo Green, Rich Homie Quan , and also a very promising act coming out of my neck of the woods by the name of Eric Biddines very down to earth and definitely talented.

Your definition of “Underground Hip Hop”?

def not that shit they call back pack rap that’s just for them old heads out there. Dig this if you on your grind and you dont got a major push or audience  or even a small audience  then you underground simple as that its about the position your career is in not the type of rap.

Production wise, who are your influences? Who does your production? And who would you like to work with?

I actually write everything from verses to choruses even the R&B as well plus all the recording. But as far as mixing and beats I go through one of the best down here MARVEL MIXES who puts me on point with the beat selections and mixing as well. My dream real talk is working with Timberland, Just Blaze, and Mike Will Made It, them mafuckers is legends.

Any current or future projects you are promoting?

Right now we just finishing up on  Promoting Self Preservation 1  with the Single “Back to You” The women are going crazy for that one and also the club hit “Private Dance” Also we got a mean Single which we looking to make a NBA Anthem called “Referee” but the biggest future project is most definitely Self Preservation 2.

Can you give us a brief description of your future project Self Preservation 2?

See the 1st one represents pure ratchetness but the second tells the story of a young man who comes out of all the wild ratchetness of his youth. Who struggles trying to become a man shortly before getting shoot and passing away.  And the way we are doing this  shitttt …. i mean this baby got paid actors on it, renowned poets and honestly i wish i could tell you more but at the risk of being swagger jacked im just gone say classic im already getting investors just off the marketing plan alone never mind the structure of the story. But the proof is in the Bill Cosby… so y’all gone see.

Where can we find your music and info?

I tend to put new content and freestyles on my YouTube page man I love doing those shits I’m actually uploading a new one as we speak got challenged to a 16 bar challenge but yeah with me its straight forward Toni Hustle on everything twitter,YouTube, vine, instagram, sound cloud, only thing different is Facebook and that’s tonihustlemusic  lol im not conceited just big on branding.
