Jack Daniel’s Presents: “Jack’N for Beats: We Got Bars Tour” In Search For L.A.’s Hottest MC’s – Dec. 11th
Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey Presents Jack’N for Beats: We Got Bars Tour is coming to Los Angeles in search of the next hip-hop phenom. The one-of-kind mobile studio will be rolling through the City of Angels looking to add another top emcee to the winners circle. The tour officially launches on Thursday, December 11 in Los Angeles. The event will feature appearances by Slaughterhouse recording artist Joell Ortiz, reality TV star Tahiry Jose and Power 106 radio personality Yesi Ortiz.
Following the launch, the Jack’N for Beats: We Got Bars Tour mobile studio will continue with daily stops and events in the Los Angeles area for eight weeks. Aspiring MC’s ages 21 and over are encouraged to step into the studio and drop 16-bars over a pre-recorded track of their choice. Submissions will be evaluated by judges, who will then select the top-50 to be uploaded to jacknforbeats.com for public views and shares. Following two weeks of (public) voting, the top-10 semi-finalists will perform live, on stage at the finale event in front of a panel of judges, consisting of music industry executives and influencers. The hottest MC will be crowned winner and take home $5,000.
The Jack’N for Beats: We Got Bars Tour was piloted in Chicago following the launch of Jack Daniel’s® Tennessee Honey in 2011. Created to give back to urban communities in a unique manner, the program received such a positive response that it has been expanded to more cities. Now, in its third year, the Jack’N for Beats: We Got Bars Tour has an alumni of winners representing Chicago, Oakland, Houston and St. Louis. Previous winners have gone on to tour with the program, participate in media interviews and collaborate with record label executives. Los Angeles is the fifth city to be added to the lineup, with more markets to follow in 2015.
