Of Mexican Descent (OMD) exemplified the underground hip hop movement of the late 90s and early 00s. This documentary by Pepe Urquijo made in 2012 recounts the struggles and achievements of 2Mex and Xololanxinxo, an L.A. crew with a cult following who dedicated much of their lives to their artistry. This doc provides insight on how independent hip hop artists of the time survived through independent distribution and many hours of hand labor.
