Q&A With Nebraska's Rising Hip Hop Artist Furture D

Hey Future D! Much respect on your new album. We appreciate solid music, especially form true up and coming MC’s. Please tell me how long have you been rapping? Where are you from? Do you remember where you were at exactly when you wrote your first track!!??

First off thanks for promoting my tape I appreciate it! I’ve been rapping for like ten years now….. time flys when you’re having fun… I’m from Lincoln Ne. My first track I was at the homies crib he had the first studio ive ever seen it was dope and I didn’t know shit about it the song turned out to be trash also lol.

Your style and rhyme scheme is super raw and different! How do you describe you sound? How long did it take for you to find your sound?

My sound is kinda grimmy raw sounding real shit I’m different also very versatile I can make any kind music on the production side which I am a producer also I make all my beats and record and mix all my songs but for my sound I like sample based music I feel like that’s how it started and that’s how its ending with me but I do like to add some hints of trap it’s just in me my new albums will be more lofi tho.

Tell us about your Hip Hop and/or music influences? Was there anyone in your life that motivated your to STEP IT UP when it comes to making dope Hip Hop?

I’m 29 so I feel like i grew up in time where there was a lot great music being made but as far as rapping goes I feel like my lil brother got me into it the most I never took it serious but he was so cold at rapping and one day we really sat down and was like we’re going to make this shit happen and we’ve been on it ever since but as far as producing kayne was a big influence but also dilla, rza, madlib ect the list goes on.

Please breakdown the creative process of your latest album “RAW”.

Raw was pretty much just me on my mpc 2000xl making beats and when ever one would come up that i liked i would cuff it for myself lol and just pretty make songs on the fly I like to create like that.

What are you looking forward to for 2017? Anything you going to be doing differently compared to past years?

I don’t really plan much but I know I’m going to put out as much music as possible this year and put a little more money into it then I have in the passed years all because I felt like i did everything and that was enough but truth be it’s not especially where I’m from nobody gives af about you until your famous and or force-fed to them oooo I also shoot videos to I have a business with that and music where I’m from.

Any pressuring situations before you decided to push your album? Did everything work out according to plan?

Yea pretty much I just dropped it.

Any new projects coming out!?

Soon but I don’t have any dates.

Rappers nowadays think by throwing up a few videos up on social media and pushing quick projects, they can blow up overnight! Give us your view on how over saturated the market is right now with so many MC’s/Producers but not to many quality music.

Honestly it seems like it doesn’t matter anymore but I do my thing.

How often do you perform LIVE? Any shows lined up in the near future?

I use to do it a lot locally but that’s a whole other shiesty game…. they gotta pay me to come out now ive put in too much work.

Where do you see yourself in 5yrs time?

Rich ducked off.

Here it is! Our most popular question! What is your definition of “underground hip hop”?

Its dope hiphop that hasn’t been discovered…. to me it’s just doing you and making your own movement staying true to what you wanna do with your shit.

Where can people find you on the web? Drop all the vital links.

All my projects are at www.futuredproductions.com that’s where you will find everything I had a beat tab on there but I took it down I rather people just hear my shit on my albums and stuff there’s already a million internet producers I’m not trying to be another.

Lastly, and shout out? (friends, family, management, etc)

Shout out to my team for holding me down and keeping me motivated shout out to my mom I love you shout out to my girl she can be mean but she’s a real one and shout out to the haters for keeping me focused peace.
