Captain Murphy [Flying Lotus] – Between Villains (ft. Viktor Vaughn [MF DOOM], Earl Sweatshirt & Thunder Cat)

Yes…you heard right…Flying Lotus, MF DOOM, and Earl Sweatshirt all on the same fuckin’ track and it goes HARD! In terms of rhyming, this song is a masterpiece. Earl Sweatshirt outdoes most of what you’ll find on his new album Doris. This is Earl at about 90%, but he still relentlessly rips shit. MF DOOM also spits some of the best bars of 2013, and his tone definitely achieves that classic Viktor Vaughn vibe. This is also my favorite song thus far by Flying Lotus’s alter-MC-ego Captain Murphy. He kills it! In short, everyone played their part to a cue, including regular FlyLo collaborator Thunder Cat. I really hope more amazing collab songs like this happen with Earl and DOOM. They work exceedingly well together.
