Kyle Bent "Q&A Interview" /// UndergroundHipHopBLOG.com

KyleBent2

We have been following solo artist KYLE BENT for the past year now, and we’ve seen the consistant work he’s been putting out lately.  We give him major credit to his thought inpsired mature lyrics at such a young age, holding true that real Hip Hop is sharing the spotlight with many young MCs of this generation.  A true rising up and comer out of Boston, MA. – UndergroundHipHopBLOG.com

-Tell us a little about yourself. Where you are from? How long have you been making Hip Hop?

I reside in Randolph, Massachusetts ,a suburb near Boston . I’ve been composing music since I was 9 but started recording tracks around the age of 11. I started off with a logic tech microphone, audacity and a website named Jamglue.com ,which is no longer existent.

-What influences you in making Hip Hop?

I was heavily influenced my the friends, that I hung out with during elementary school ,to start writing music. If it weren’t for them, I would’ve probably never taken this all so serious. Despite that, I’ve always had a love for music.

-Describe your music, and what separates you from other MCs?

My music is revolutionary and cataclysmic .I by no mean plan to fit into a category of any particular style of rappers but in the long run, I aspire to be one of the most influential artists of our generation. Other MC’s ,for the most part, are too concerned with being top dog in the music industry. As much as I would like to take the top spot in the music scene, the drive to do that isn’t as strong as the drive to transcend the ego that modern day music carries and, instead ,unite people from all walks of life using my talent.

-Who have you collaborated with? Who would like to collab with in the near future?

I’ve collaborated with NY rapper, Bramzwig. I’ve collaborated with XXL protige, Gio Dee, along with Hendersin. I’ve collaborated with other boston artists such as Deon Chase, Tj Hickey, and Big Kurt .I also have some huge features that I’ve done recently but I wont disclose information regarding them until I’m appointed to do so.

Your definition of “Underground Hip Hop”?

Underground hip hop is the raw and passionate talent that we, the listeners, recieve before the artist is tainted by industrial views and label contract binding .

-Production wise, who are your influences? Who does your production, and who would you like to work with?

I used to be in love with Johnny Juliano beats. Right now, I’m more of an ambient type guy, I always enjoy flowing on an ambient yet boom-bat beat which displays my lyrical talent. My executive producer is Tarik McFarland but besides him I’ve gotten beats from all sorts of producers around the U.S and beyond. Ironically my favorite beats have come from producers who share the same name as me. I would love to work with DJ Premier in the future, Johnny Juliano, Willy B, and  JMNS.

-Any current or future projects you are promoting?

I will be releasing a project on October 20th by the name of “Bent Rulers” .It will be my first ever EP, and will be sold on Itunes, Amazon, Bandcamp, spotify and various other online distribution vendors for $4.99.

-Where can we find your music and info?

You can find all my music and info on www.KyleBentmusic.com

-Any shout outs?
