Tell us a little about yourself. Where you are from? How long have you been making Hip Hop?

Timothy Ned aka Tim Ned, born in Fort Worth, Tx. I grew up being a military brat so I was fortunate to be able to travel and get exposed to all different types of music. Being exposed to Miles Davis, George Clinton, and James Brown, made me want to create similar sounds so I begged my parents for a Casio keyboard for Christmas at 8 years old. When I first heard “Ain’t nothin but a g thang” by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg my life changed. Hearing that song introduced me to hip hop and I instantly knew I wanted to create a similar sound to what I heard.

Who are your influences Hip Hop?

Artist : Scarface, UGK, Snoop Dogg, Jay Z, Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, Busta Rhymes, Pharrell, Kanye West, Big Daddy Kane, Dougie Fresh, and DMX.

Can you give us a brief description of the creative process of your new single “Black Diamonds”?  Also speak on the grind of pushing and marketing the single, producing it yourself, and staying independent.

The birth of “Black Diamonds”  – Marz McFly a writer and friend of mine, called me and said he wrote a hook to a track I created for another artist. He sent the hook to my voicemail and after I listened to it I put it to the side. At the time I wasn’t really feeling it, but I was willing to present it to the artist to see what he thought. I set up a session the next day and the hook was presented to the artist and he passed on it. I decided to listen to the hook again and instantly thought to myself that I could make this a hit. I told Marz to come to my house I want to use his hook to create a hot club banger.  I took me prolly 5 minutes to make the song because I heard it playing over & over in my head. After everything was laid down I rode around Houston for inspiration to begin writing Black Diamond. Once I was finished the record, I called my manager and CEO of Loud Muzik in the studio to listen and now its history.

Who have you collaborated with? Who would you like to collab with in the near future?

I collaborated with Nipsey Hussle, Lil KeKe, Slim Thug, Tef Poe, Tami Latrell, R. Kelly, John Dew, Tawn P, The Clarke Boyz, Ami Miller, Fat Pimp, Prophit, Delorean, Killa Kyleon, and Doughbeezy.  Who I would like to collaborate with : to name a few…  Pharrell, Dr. Dre, Snoop, Sade, John Mayer, Drake, Kanye West, Mike Dean, Scarface, Jay Z, Zro, Coldplay, James Blake, Daft Punk, Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters, Kenna, Ryan Leslie, Missy and Timbaland.

Your definition of “Underground Hip Hop”?

Underground hip hop is a platform where artist can speak in their music, and not be concerned with any censors that come from mainstream influences.

Production wise, who are your influences?  And who would you like to work with?
