Tennessee Butchers – “Episode I: The Sound of Violence” Album (Review)

Tennessee Butchers are a rap collective based out of Clarksville, TN. Their latest album “Episode I: The Sound of Violence” brings back the true essence of Death Rap at its finest. Underground Hip Hop is what the Tennessee Butchers are all about. This album has 15 solid tracks of intense and aggressive Hip Hop that caters to the hardest of heads out there.  The beats are dope and the lyrics and powerful, detailing the emotions contained if artists do not bring back substance to rap music.  They are cut off by the same cloth of other rappers to say the least.  This rap group stays 100% underground and indie not allowing the corporate mainstream bullshit to effect what they do.

They really have an original sound that I have never heard of.  It’s like a mix of Twisted Insane, Necro &  Wu Tang Clan combined.  It’s great to hear some originality finally, there are so many rappers/groups out there that bite a whole bunch of styles.  Tracks we recommend listening to are “Knuckle Up”, “So Fuck You”, “I Kneed U” and our favorite song “TN Butchers”.

Overall this album might not be for every true Hip Hop head out there, but it definitely has its own niche market.  The market of true anti-establishment horrorcore deathrap revolutionary music scene!

Episode I: The Sound of Violence.  Available on iTunes, Spotify, CDBaby and other premiere online retailers!
