Atlanta based artist CAMRN released a new EP titled “The Prelude” on the 13th ofApril and after listening to all five tracks I have nothing but good things to say. Right of the bat this EP blends Soul, R&B and Jazz in a nice, harmonic sound that soothes the listeners ear. I especially enjoy the fifth and final track, “The Way.” CAMRN’s musical blend flows well on the songs production while his lyrics don’t overpower the song, rater than overtake it the lyrics lay on top of the beat perfectly, one bar that stuck to me was “So many people tried to put me down including me; Room full of foes but I am my own enemy.” That is some strong lyricism, it touched me in a heavy fashion because that is something I can relate to, I’ve been in that position of emotion.

Overall this is a solid EP, a strong one that I think fans of J Dilla, The Pharcyde or A Tribe Called Quest can get behind. Definitely worth your 20 minutes. Follow CAMRN on Instagram, @camrnmusic and Twitter, @camrnmusic.
