Max Star – “Far From Ordinary” EP (Album Review)

Rising artist Max Star from Los Angeles, Ca delivers a new album titled “Far From The Ordinary”. This album was Boom Bap & Sarcasm. The track list features production from Raw Mix Beats. Let’s go inside the mind of Max Star, as we dive in with the 1st track “Manic” where Max Star pulls  from his core and sets the tone.

“Real HipHop” is a testimony to the golden age of HIP-HOP, this song praises all the elements of our culture and holds artist and supporters alike accountable to the birth and destruction of HIP-HOP. This song has many levels to it and is very much needed for the culture, it takes you back and makes you question the direction of music.

“Where You From”  produced by Nick James is an up-tempo track highlighting the cities we all came from to find our HIP-HOP common ground. Max Star, LA Native, notably says he created this song to establish unity and rep our hometowns. Max Star comes out the gate shooting and sets the mark for a Hometown anthem. ” Will They Except Me” is a reflection track where Max Star connects with his listeners by telling his life as a open book. Looking from one side of life trying to live up to society’s expectations, which can be labeled as one of the youth’s biggest problem.

“We Da Truth” brings the pain to the Raw Mix production as Ric Rumble picks up the baton and runs to the finish line with dynamic lyricism, both Emcess brought this track to the next level. “True Spit” channels the late great Biggie in the intro, the abstract approach is raw and gritty and the imagery of this record comes to life every beat measure. Max Star keeps it true with “Let The Horns Blare” addressing all the naysayers with beats & bars. “My Bitch” is a dedication to the ride or die female who can maintain a Queen’s status in the midst of it all.
