Ra Noise – “DoDo” EP (Album Review)

Although Memphis is known for it popular Hip-Hop, it’s brother Nashville not so much in the last decade. However, there is always a first, Ra Noise is eager to be that spark to get the mainstream attention. The Nashville recording artist is looking to be the first breakout act since Young Buck with his new EP, DoDo.

The new album depicts a theme of addictively heavy intoxicated new strain of lyrical dope. Ra Noise and his supporting cast plant seven-track pilot of marijuana-inspired new music. Experimenting with blends of production and rhyme patterns, will Ra Noise final product be Indica or Sativa?

First try, Ra Noise is disappointing with the lyrics. His style doesn’t appear custom on the project, a lazy imitation of similar popular acts, using similar tricks to attempt to capture the same success; however, unable to realize the reason for their success is they don’t sound like someone else. Predictable, aside from “Sock It To Me”, the entire project Ra Noise tone doesn’t just a level once. It’s more to making a great song then hearing the beat and just putting words together just to match.

The formula was simple, call women bitches the entire track, tell you what I’m smoking, and identify that the tool is on deck. Moving on.

The project has no replay value, the tracks are good but no potency. The quality strain on this album is a short high. Perhaps with a little more preparation, Ra Noise lyrical growth can flourish properly and result in a more valuable body of work. Advise a more creative approach in wordplay and deeper production selection.

In the end, Ra Noise new album will burn out on you quick.
