WranQ Ramone – “Reincarnated” (Mixtape Review)

In his first full-length effort. Seattle’s very own WranQ Ramone is prepared to make a huge statement for with the new mixtape,“Reincarnated“. A well-known legend in Seattle, can WranQ Ramone’s presence transcend the regional platform and break into the mainstream radar?

Lyrically, WraQ Ramone exhibits a mastered craft of hard-hitting bars that is naturally able to switch to a catchy auto-tuned driven melody. Throughout the project you will get either a rapid fire rhymeslayer or a harmonizing crooner. While its not unique, WraQ does manage to peak your interest with his catchy wordplay. Flexing the most on the track, “RDR Freestyle”, naturally expressing his creative side freely.

On the 15-track effort, the songs that are much-talked about are “Identity”, “PaperViews”, “Jim Carey”, and “I Need That”. Exceptional songs; however, the track that breakout is the track, “Cut Off Point”. From a features point-of-view, the gang is a great support system on the mixtape. While Nicholas Sounds is on majority of the mixtape, it’s only fair as he makes a great tag-team partner for the star. Their duel of words is organic, fluent at times, and shocking. The two shine on the song, “Milk”.

The sound of ‘Reincarnated’ is nice. Most of the production is provided with a raw, boom bap backdrop that truly complements his style. While never shying away from gritty production. Ramone always set the tone with his dark, grimy and aggressive flow. Production was of genuine chemistry as Nicholas Sounds, BasskidsOnTheBeat, Azera, Youssef, Kato On The Track, Legal Remedy Beats guide the Seattle emcee on this run on the field.

While ‘Reincarnated’ may not be the best work from the Seattle hopeful, it is definitely a necessary project for his catalog moving forward. The mixtape has a essence to it that impactful to the present youth and delivers a unique attitude to it that can’t be distinguish as gangster rap but protest. Seattle is accumulating an army of new sensations and WranQ Ramone looks to be leading the charge.

Rating: 8/10
