The Outsiders – “O/X2” Mixtape (Review)

We cam across a pretty interested mixtape from a bay area Hip Hop collective called The Outsiders .  The “O/X2” mixtape consists of a collaborative effort from a group of extremely talented artists.  If I’m not mistaken, there are 7 total members pushing a very unique, conscious and original sound.  Hip Hop, neo-soul, jazz & punk rock all mixed into one package is how I can describe this group.  EAGLEBABEL, Eli Arbor, faruhdey, C4 Productions, Jice1, Doza & Jae, combine forces releases this 14 track mixtape captivating fans from all over showing they are a true force to be reckoned within this industry.

From beginning to end, this mixtape offers a variety of music that is perfect for the true music enthusiast.  Starting off with a powerful song titled “#FinesseLove” by EAGLEBABEL, that definitely sets the tone for all listeners.  Moving into another super track by Hyperion (Eli Arbor x EB) titled “Jealous” which I really could relate to.  Possibly the most creative and different track in my opinion is “Love Ballad” by CHIVA (EB x faruhdey).  If it was up to me, I would mention every single song on this project, so that being said, its well worth the time of day if you decide to peek into this solid mixtape.

The “O/X2” mixtape does not feel like the usual listen,  each song is by a different artist or group, all songs giving off its own vibe.  We approve this mixtape for all heads out there who are dying for new great music.  Support real Hip Hop!
