YAH LANSKEY was born and raised in the southwestern Philadelphia area. His rap style reflects the life of an inner city youth fighting for the american dream. Yah Lanskey raps about everyday life and reality. He turned to Art and Poetry after losing his mother when he was 10 years of age. The son of a hustler and ex-gang member his father groomed him to be street and book smart. With the similarity in street reputation to legendary gangster Meyer Lansky, Yah was able to operate in the streets in a way he avoided suspicion and authorities. His street cred is what began his fan base as he begin his career talking about the streets and slowly becoming a complete artist making hits for the streets,clubs and the ladies like “PRONTO”,”MATTER OF TIME” AND “I PUT THAT WORK IN”.
Most of his fans love his approach because they can relate to the majority of his songs and still give fans some of the hottest bars and lyrics ever heard.
