Sinergyst (Bridgeport, CT) – Q&A Interview

Tell us a little about yourself. Where you are from? How long have you been making Hip Hop?

I’m from Bridgeport, CT Born & Raised.  I’ve been creating music for a long time since i was little but as far as taking it seriously as a full-time career i would have to say around 2004.

What influences you in making Hip Hop?

Life in general is a major influence.  I like to take typical situations, emotions, or everyday things people can relate to and incorporate that into my music.

Describe your music, and what separates you from other MCs?

My sound is very unique.  I am a lyricist who utilizes alot of metaphor’s in my music.  I feel my sound could be a cross between Eminem & Twista with a hint of pitbull flavored productions.

Who have you collaborated with? Who would you like to collab with in the near future?

I have collaborated with Bizzy Bone, Jae Millz(ymcmb), Demrick, Twista, Brad hester, Farisha, and a multitude of Underground Artists.  I would love to collaborate with Ke$ha.

Your definition of “Underground Hip Hop”?

My definition of Underground Hip Hop would be a level of musicians in the hip hop field who havent reached the mainstream platform yet.  Artists without a National spotlight who are not signed to a major record label. I do feel the Underground Hip Hop world produces much great quality of music as far as real sounding and not cliche type music.

Production wise, who are your influences? Who does your production? And who would you like to work with?

The Producers i work with are FDX, PD3, B.Price, Kingbeatz, and i like hip hop with a rock infuzed sound.  i also like hip hop with a dance/techno feel as well.  those would be the typical sounding records you would hear from me.  although i also tend to do alot of inspirational orchestra sounding build ups.

Any current or future projects you are promoting?

My last single just released we are currently promoting it features the talented Farisha.  The song is called “Hit Rewind”

Can you give us a brief description of the creative process of HERO (Music Video)?

We wanted to take every day negative occurrences that people deal with in life, and show that you don’t have to have super powers to be a hero. Just be willing to stand up and take action. with the help of DiMichele Visuals and FR Productions they made it happen!
