Ya Boy Izz – Q&A Interview

Tell us a little about yourself. Where you are from? How long have you been making Hip Hop?

My real name is Izzauddyn so I go by the artist name do Ya Boy Izz. I’ve been making music seriously for about 3 years. I am originally from EbbetsField Crownheights Brooklyn New York but I’ve been living in Atlanta for 7 years

What influences you in making Hip Hop?

What influences me to make hiphop music is my struggles , my pain , my experiences and most of all my heart

Describe your music, and what separates you from other MCs?

I consider my music heartfelt , passionate , melodic , and lyrical

What separates me from other artists is that I have a different story to tell , I have a different way of making listeners visualize my words

Who have you collaborated with? Who would you like to collab with in the near future?

I have collaborated with artist’s such as Stickz Greenz , Poppa Sin , The Gifferent , Wavy Lee , Dj Kool Kid and others. I would love to collab with artiststhat are  passionate , creative and works like a machine

Your definition of “Underground Hip Hop”?

My definition of underground hiphop is music that hasn’t reached mainstream success yet.

Production wise, who are your influences? Who does your production? And who would you like to work with?

Production wise I’m influenced by Kanye West , JPhilly Beats , Mike will made it , Metro Booming , Young Chop , pharell , timbaland

I’ve been recieving production work from a lot of different producers. I also produce so I use my tracks at times

Any current or future projects you are promoting?

Current project is 13/13 The mixtape.  Looking to release it in July 2014

Can you give us a brief description of the creative process of “Aint Nobody Safe”? Also/ what was the idea or concept description about your Album Art Cover.

Ain’t nobody safe came about when I heard the beat. I went with my vibe and went in the booth and freestyled.  The concept can be relative to those from the hood who lives by the mentality …any means necessary for survival. It’s dangerous growing up in the hood. Anything can happen. So ain’t nobody safe.
