V.A.L. – “Crusin” (Prod. by Luke White)
Meet Dwain Kammeron better known by his stage V.A.L. is an Alternative rapper/songwriter born to Dutch surinamese parents. Raised in Miami beach, fl V.A.L. grew up listening to artist such at Wolfmother, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rage Against the machine. It wasn’t until the age of 13 that V.A.L. was introduced to the diverse culture that is Hip Hop, being that “Natural born killers” by Dr. Dre was the first rap song he’d ever heard V.A.L. gravitated heavily toward west coast rap. By the age of 16 V.A.L. started to draw inspiration and life lessons from artist such as N.E.R.D, Big L and OutKast. He went on to write his own raps and songs trying to fit the mold of those he looked up to but soon went on to develop his own style, showcasing these written verses to family and friends. In 2013 V.A.L. made friends Kenzo the two shared the same interest of art and creating they then went on to form a group that is now known as The Active Nav$. – @VAL_VL_Alderice
