Budnick – “Dirty D” Album (Review)

Budnick drops this very impressive album titled “Dirty D“, including 13 solid tracks of smooth lyrical underground Hip Hop.  Right from the beginning with his intro track “Every Celebrity” he enlightens us with the truth about the commercial game, produced by the super producer himself Statik Selektah.  While you go down the track list you get more and more into this project, noticing his very unique style and rhyme scheme that is truly original along with great beats.  Let’s point out that he has a cadence that is very steady and smooth which he brings to every track on this album, it’s somewhat of a humble swag, to be honest!  His music has earned our respect for sure!

Let’s dig a little deeper into this album.  When is comes to dropping an album it has to be 100% complete in order for it to stand out and really make some noise.  What do I mean about “complete”, well it has to have dope beats, a solid message with substance and original lyrics.  Songs like “Fiya” & “Girl Of My Dreams” are exactly what Hip Hop needs nowadays, truly powerful tracks that not only fans can relate to but it grabs a hold of them.  My favorite track on this album has to be “I.m So Cold”, there is something about this track that is legendary, the beat is super solid and the message is profound.

Overall there are gems all over this album, I really recommend if your a true Hip Hop head you should support and listen to this album.  2016 will be a memorable year, and Budnick really made some history for Underground Hip Hop!
