Rapper, producer and writer, Mark Carson was born Jacob Ballington on September 7, 1998, in Anderson, South Carolina. Growing up with his brother, Jesse Ballington, his parents divorced and he left with his father to move to Columbia, SC. As he grew up he was influenced my many artist ranging from Eminem to Pink Floyd.
As he entered his teen years he grew into an obsession for music. He learn how to play many instruments and started to learn in producing. Being raised in Columbia there were not many music opportunities for him to take. However, this proved not to be a problem.
As having no budget for his music career he wrote, recorded, mixed and produced his first song at age 13 in his bathroom. A year later he completely produced his first mixtape (The Carson Effect) in a home studio he built.
His first year of entering into Brookland-Cayce High School, he has gained notable respect from The UnderGround Hip Hop Blog and Mixtape Gods Website.
