Sydney Australia Indie Producer Dysphemic Drops Gritty New Beat Tape “RAKI BEATS”
Coming out of Sydney, Australia, rising independent Hip Hop producer Dysphemic drops a very special concept beat tape titled “RAKI BEATS”, created using solely Greek samples. The name is inspired by the potent and often home made, gritty Balkan alcohol, Raki that is widely drunk in the streets of Greece.
He made this beat tape in Greece composed of obscure Greek samples from tapes and vinyl he found in gypsy markets, haggling with Athens trash pickers and junk dealers. He wrote beats in the back of taxis, in tavernas, on balconies in Athens and doing dodgy border runs with unlicensed drivers. Full project is available on Spotify and Bandcamp now!
