Demigod’s Latest EP “Heathen” Making A Lot Of Noise In The Indie Hip Hop Community
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY rappers Barrington Bowen and Kenn Carr compose the band. Two childhood friends test listeners with postmodern and progressive concepts in the form of Hip hop music.
Enigmatic. Dauntless. Abstruse. Words I would use to describe the body of work that is the “Heathen EP.” This is more of a statement than it is music. This embodies reasoning more than it does rhythm. We make Hip-Hop with a blend of reggae, dub-step, post dub-step, and soft rock. Our purpose is to spread postmodern and progressive ideas to the Hip-Hop culture. Our topics focus a lot on religion and it’s impact on society. As we are atheists we give our take on religion and our skepticism towards it.
