HideandSeekZoo "Q&A Interview" /// UndergroundHipHopBLOG.com

Had a chance to catch up with a young MC out of Cali we recently promoted, HideandSeekZoo.  Never heard of the kid until we heard “Simple (Prod. by Eddie)” off of PNEUMA Mixtape by German producer BAKODA a.k.a. EVAN AWAKE.  Long story short, a German mixtape submission which led us to a dope young Cali MC on the rise.  Really feel humbled that our blog has a strong influence in the UK, and dope international producers are recognizing the unheard talent and influencial young Hip Hop scene of L.A.

On a coincedential side note, on Bakoda’s mixtape, the track “Simple” was also placed next to a track by Beats Antique, a group who we recently interviewed at Kalediscope 2103, in Oregon.  With a unique and different name, HideandSeekZoo’s Hip Hop displays his writing skills, dedication to the craft, and desire to take his music to the next level in the local, and international independent promotion scene. – UndergroundHipHopBLOG.com

-Tell us a little about yourself. Where you are from? How long have you been making Hip Hop?

I go by HideandSeekZoo, i’m from Vacaville, Ca. I’ve been making music since my freshman year in high school, i just graduated this past summer.

-What influences you in making Hip Hop?

-The instrumentals I have inspire most of what I write, also what I’ll be listening to at the time, mostly all the little things in life.

-Describe your music, and what separates you from other MCs?

– It’s not for everybody I would say that, it’s just for those awesome folks out there haha. I think just being who I am as a person in my music is enough to separate me and the rest, just put my personality in my music whether its the lines I spit or the little corny intros to some songs.

-Who have you collaborated with? Who would like to collab with in the near future?

– I’ve collaborated with a couple dope emcees, from La to Mexico. I’ve got songs with Reverie, Hands one, Lorisoul, Luzid to name a few. I want to make a song with Slug of Atmosphere atleast once in my life.

-Your definition of “Underground Hip Hop”?

– My definition of underground hip hop is raw. Hip hop can get so gritty when it wants to.

-Production wise, who are your influences? Who does your production, and who would you like to work with?

– I always loved Ant’s beats. Rythmatical is one of my personal favorites, Felly and Frank John James as well. I’ve got beats from a whole boat load of producers but I want to work with Rythmatical, so I’m going to make that happen.

-Any current or future projects you are promoting?

– I just released a mixtape called “Banji” 22 tracks, the feedback overall on that project was very good and I’m proud of what I did with that.

-Where can we find your music and info?

– Youtube, Bandcamp, Soundcloud, anything just search HideandSeekZoo.

-Any shout outs?

– Shout out to all my homies, my brother, all the guys I pack beef jerky with.
