Low 2 Cold – Q&A Interview
New York Hip Hop might just have a new hero in their city and we are talking about you? When did you decide to start making Hip Hop? Who influenced you? How did you get the name Low 2 Cold?
Thank you for the complements. I started making my music last year summer time. My influence where Nas, Redman Method man. But mostly Redman with his style. I got my name Low from playing school sports and I added the 2 cold after I seen what I can do with the pen and my flows.
What specific area of NY do you rep? Who has the local Hip Hop community accepted your music and movement?
I’m from Queens Ny Rosedale. But I currently live in Augusta Ga and the southern hip hop scene is starting to take a liking to my style of music. I think it’s because there are not used to this type of rap.
Congrats on the success of your mixtape “Age of the Golden”. Feel free to breakdown the creative process of the project.
Thank you, The theme for this mixtape was to relive the golden age of hip hop through myself. I took the time to create real substantial music you can feel. I pulled everything out of me to make the tracks come out like it did. I also wanted to keep the hip hop heads entertained. My purpose for this project was to express who I am for my first mixtape and also wow my listeners with my talents.

My top Emcees are Redman, Method man, Logic , Dizzy Wright, Joey Bada$$/ My top producers 9th wonder Just Kev Brown, Just Blaze, Dj Premier
Planning on releasing any videos to complement “Age of the Golden”
Yes, the Video for the track Solid Diamond is coming in a couple of weeks. My team and I are doing the plaining for it currently.
What are your plans on getting your music out of New York and let it circulate throughout the nation?
I plan on getting my music out by starting a local movement here in Augusta Ga were I currently live. I’m signed to an Independent label called Visual Mindz Productions. This will allow us to start a foundation to reach more eyes online and through the radio airwaves.
Are you looking forward in working with other artists near you? Or do you try to keeps collabs at a minimum.

What is your definition of “underground hip hop”?
My definition of underground hip hop is being truth to yourself mastering the craft of being an Emcee.
