Marc Vinyls – Q&A Interview
Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from? How long have you been making Hip Hop?
Marc Vinyls is currently a sophomore at a local community college. He chose to stay home to focus on music, putting in countless studio hours in order to hone and perfect his craft.
What influences you in making Hip Hop?
Marc’s influences are Eminem, Childish Gambino, Mac Miller, Nas, 50 Cent, Kid Cudi, just to name a few.
Describe your music, and what separates you from other MCs?
Marc vinyls combines a witty and old school delivery with new school beats. He sets himself apart from other emcee’s by studying the game, and continually having an invested interest in the industry.
Who have you collaborated with? Who would you like to collab with in the near future?
Marc has only collaborated with artists that he has grown up with or known locally. However he looks to expand and work with artists across the untied states. He would like to collaborate on his next project and future projects with artists such as Joey Badass, Childish Gambino, and Vince Staples, just to name a couple.
Your definition of “Underground Hip Hop”?
Underground hip hop in Marc’s words is music that touches upon different subject matter, lyrical ability, and a style that doesn’t always have to relate to the main stream industry.
Currently I have used a childhood friend by the name of Nick Gallo, and online beats. However I would like to work with producers such as J Dilla, Kanye, and Alchemist.
