Moose – Q&A Interview

Moose

Tell us a little about yourself. Where you are from? How long have you been making Hip Hop?

I’m 19 years old. I’ve been making music for almost 4 years now. Born in Brownsville, Tx but putting on for everyone in the Rio Grande Valley. Certified stoner. I just enjoy making good ass music and work my ass off to do so.

What influences you in making Hip Hop?

I’m just influenced by everyday life and the things I see and go through. What I say is real, I gotta feel it when I record it.

Describe your music, and what separates you from other MCs?

My music is diverse. We don’t feel the same everyday so I don’t make the same type of songs all the time. There’s ups and downs in life but we’ll pull through no matter what.

Who have you collaborated with? Who would you like to collab with in the near future?

I don’t really collab with many people just because if I choose to collab with someone it’s because I feel they’ll make the song better. There’s artist I think are good but just wouldn’t sound good on my songs. Shout out to my boy Naudikah though, he’s on the mixtape and is a dope artist from south Tx as well.

Your definition of “Underground Hip Hop”?

I think underground hip hop is hip hop that hasn’t been filtered.

Production wise, who are your influences? Who does your production? And who would you like to work with?

I don’t produce but I’m honestly down to work with any producers that I think are dope. I get beats from multiple producers but I’m always looking for more.

Any current or future projects you are promoting?

Just finished up my mixtape ‘Love & Other Drugs’ which is up on Datpiff. I’m already working on songs for the next project and have a name for it but it’s far from finished so I won’t say anymore.

Can you give us a brief description of the creative process of Love & Other Drugs [Mixtape]? Also/ what was the idea or concept description about your Album Art Cover.

I worked on ‘Love & Other Drugs’ for a long time but it was completed in a short amount of time. I probably wrote for 7-9 months and then I just decided to throw everything out. All of a sudden I just kept writing and writing and the tape was done in about 2-3 months. Shout out to Jonny New Brand for designing the cover. I gave him complete creative control as I usually do but as time went on it turned out to have more meaning than I thought. The cover has a bunch of pills and I have to take multiple pills daily because of some seizures I had and it just goes along with the title. The tape is a story and period of time in my life that I hope people can relate to.

Where can we find your music and info?

Follow me on twitter @Moos3music and hit me up for my music! I’ll get at you!

Any Shout Outs?

Shout out my dude Jonny Newbrand he’s got crazy graphics. Shout out the only feature on the tape Naudikah, he’s been helping me out since I started and he’s got big things come soon! Shout out familia man they help me out a lot. Last but not least shout out to y’all man! UGHH rocking with me and I appreciate the opportunity.
