Psyco Sid – Q&A Interview

Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from? How long have you been making Hip Hop?

I am Psyco Sid Da SoKul Kid. I am originally from 3rd Ward Tx. I’ve been consistently writing music for about 10 years.

Has there been any point in your Hip Hop career where you wanted to just quit Rapping, and if so what turned your motivation around to make yourself not quit and keep the ball rolling.

I’ve approached many occasions in which I felt like quitting & throwing in the towel, but here I’m from quitters never win & winners never quit.

Describe your music, and what separates you from other MCs out of the Houston area?

My Music is My Story. No one knows my story like I do. That’s the difference between me & them.

Who would you like to collab with in the near future?  Or are you the type of artist that keeps collabs very limited?

I am a huge FAN of Good Music. If it’s an Artist that’s serious about their craft that I can relate to ,, I’m ready to work.

Your definition of “Underground Hip Hop”?

When I think of the Underground, I think of the Underdog. Which is normally the one with the most hunger. Raw, Uncut, Straight from the Heart.

Production wise, who are your influences? Who does your production?

Production Wise, I’ve always been a Fan of “Justice League” “Jazzy Pha” & “Manny Fresh”, but as for my project I reached out the Producer’s here in the city that I felt could get the job done. S/o to Worm; TA; Se7en The Producer; The Sound Clique; Super Diesel ; Da Stunna Beats & Solo

As we can see your latest Single “AM I” has been getting a lot of traction and listens from real fans.  What do you want to tell your fans about really supporting your music and movement.

I’d like to Thank all of my Fans, Family and Friends for supporting the music as well as the movement. Working a project is like raising a child, and as we all know… It Takes a Village.

Can you give us a brief description of the creative process of you soon to be released Mixtape Sokul We Be Vol 1 “? Also/ tell us a little bit about the concept and idea behind your Album/Mixtape Cover Art.

My creative mode normally feeds off of the mood I’m in or the feeling I get from the track that I’m listening to. I wanted the art work to speak… “KuL; Street; Solid”

Where can we find your music and info?

You can find my music any & everywhere music is being distributed online. iTunes, Google Play ect.

Any shout outs?

I’d like to thank God first for granting me the ability. S/o to the whole Sokul Ent. Staff, Sokul Scoobie , W.H.M.G , & All Fans ,Family & Friends who support the Movement
