Tunsi – Q&A Interview

Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from? How long have you been making Hip Hop?

I am originally from Connecticut and started rapping in the late 80’s. Production of my own material didn’t start until the mid 90’s.

What influences you in making Hip Hop?

My main influence is hearing the material that already exists.

Describe your music, and what separates you from other MCs?

I would describe my music as being creative and unique; this is what separates me from most.

Who have you collaborated with? Who would you like to collab with in the near future?

I have collaborated with many unknown artists, but would love to collab with anyone who’s trying to make a statement on something that counts.

Your definition of “Underground Hip Hop”?

Underground hip hop to me is material that is truly created from the heart and not influenced by nonsense.

Production wise, who are your influences? Who does your production?  And who would you like to work with?

My influences in production comes from a range of artists and currently I do all of my own production. I could work with any producer who can make a hot track.

Any current or future projects you are promoting?

The song that I am currently promoting is called “Walk With Me”.

Can you give us a brief description of the creative process of WALK WITH ME? Also/ tell us a little bit about the concept and idea behind your Album/Mixtape Cover Art.

The creative process for walk with me started with the production. “Walk with me” was placed as the hook, then I wrote to it with this in mind. The desire was to get the listeners to try to walk the same path as the story, which I feel is the path of many. The album cover, well he’s the mascot.
