Album Review: Audible Hustle (Synik and Rod McCoy) – “Selah”
15 tracks of solid indie Hip Hop for 2014. Synik & Rod McCoy just released their debut album titled “Selah” which is pushed by Audible Hustle. This collaboration is flawless regarding the cohesiveness musically and beat selections which is really important nowadays. Finding out these 2 MC’s met while serving their country really makes us proud knowing that we have real MC’s in the military. The whole album has a real “Feel Good” feeling from front to back alongside with intellectual, conscious, story telling and hardcore lyrics that adds all the elements to a great record. The Album cover is super dope, very well thought out and the artwork is truly relaxing and amazing at the same time. This whole album is pretty much sample based, and honestly it was put together magnificently.
The features on this album is very respectable. With a significant spot from the one and only Audible Doctor only goes to show that Synik & Rod McCoy know their Hip Hop. This is a perfect album for those who are looking for the perfect combination of Underground sounds with great lyrics and great beats & most importantly every true fan can relate this entire project. This group is definitely a force to be recon in 2014 and moving forward.
