Album Review: DP the Groundhogg – “Welcome 2 the Woodz Vol 1”
DP the Groundhogg delivers his latest album the Hip Hop masses titled “Welcome 2 the Woodz Vol 1”. Minneapolis, Minnesota has never had an artist like him as for as I can remember. His ability to simply make quality music with dope rhymes, great storytelling and a style truly he can call his own is very rare in that area. This project consists of 10 full length tracks can can cater to almost any Hip Hop fan out there. Speaking on the G-Funk era along with real life street knowledge is what real hip Hop is all about.
Most importantly this album has a heavy old school golden era Hip Hop sound and feeling. My favorite track on this project is “Let It Go” which he delivers a solid message and some great substance. Overall DP the Groundhogg really has this Hip Hop game on lock out in the Minnesota area. We are looking forward to more project from him ASAP!!
