Album Review: ILL RAN – “Close Doesn’t Count”
Ill Ran just made an album that can gravitate to any Hip Hop fan worldwide. This 15 track album “Close Doesn’t Count” incorporates some crazy dope songs, with rhymes that are conscious, rugged and full of substance. The beat selection is profound to say the least. He has a very unique style and delivery with his rhymes, something exactly what you need in this Hip Hop game to stand out. One of my favorite songs on this album is “Doin Me” Ft. Tim Ned & “Live or Die”. He has really embraced the Underground sound on this project, spitting about the truth, political issues and most importantly making great Hip Hop. We hope he continues to make some great music with substance 100% of his career. Ill Ran has a bright future ahead of him!
