Album Review: KTwigz (Tokyo, Japan) – “iLLmodest”
A young Japanese Rapper by the name of KTwigz has been paving the way in Japan for real, authentic, conscious Underground Hip Hop music. Once living in the O.C. near Los Angeles, CA KTwigz has a deep knowledge & understanding on how Hip Hop should sound like. So with his latest release titled “iLLmodest” he has been able to combine both the West-Coast Hip Hop culture with the Japanese culture to create a fresh unique Hip Hop Sound. His rhyme scheme and delivery undoubtably has a West-Coast feel, and his beats have a big Japan/U.S. flavor that really makes this project a true classic with a lot of diversity.
A track that really caught my attention was “Stay Strong”, a super dope song about staying strong, always believing in yourself and to never give up in whatever your future has in store. The realities are profound with so much people feeling down everywhere on a global level, this song will definitely inspire thousands as soon as they listen to it. Musically its a superb track with a great hook/chorus and awesome beat.
KTwigz will always be respected by @UGHHBLOG, his dope skill and push for true Hip Hop is very appreciated especially living in Japan. We want to thank him for introducing Japan to real indie authentic Underground Hip Hop……………..@UGHHBLOG
