The first couple seconds into the intro, UNIVERSE THE KING is already takin you on a journey representing a true independent grind. M.U.S.I.C. Vol. 1.6 is a 12 track release consisting of a mixture of lyrical styles over production that would usually intimidate most MCs, UTK holds it down bar to bar throughout the whole project. Mostly produced by UTK, we have to give props to the other producers who contributed to this album: Rich Lyfestyle, Design Beatz, Smokey Beatz. One track that really stood out as in instant classic was track 7, “100” produced by Smokey Beatz. That song took us back to the 90’s when Hip Hop was much more creative. Track 11, “MONEY” is another heater that knocks hard, produced by UTK himself.

“M.U.S.I.C. Volume 1.6” is the first release from triple threat emcee/producer/engineer, Universe The King (UTK). “M.U.S.I.C.” is an acronym for “my universe speaks in code” which means “my art form is my own” in the words of UTK. The volume 1.6 comes from there being a Volume 1 (by 16 BARZ) in existence. Some of the songs you hear on M.U.S.I.C. Volume 1.6 were originally on M.U.S.I.C. Volume 1 but have been altered in multiple ways (i.e. beats, vocals, etc.). Throughout this album you will witness intelligent displays of creativity, lyricism, and evolution especially when in terms of “true Hip-Hop”.
