Album Review: Matthewmaticus – “The Sanctified Tape” EP
This Album is a true reflection of Underground Hip Hop. Matthewmaticus‘s latest EP titled “The Sanctified Tape” consisting of 6 absolutely SOLID songs offers the perfect FIX for real Hip Hop heads. This project is overwhelmed with consciousness and substance, 2 elements that always make a project CLASSIC. His flow scheme is very articulate with its own alter-ego style, really flexing on originality and style on every song. A really great song on this EP is “Heads Up” which incorporates a topic that every hard-working person can relate too. We can’t leave out the production on this project, crazy boom-bap style with a twist of modern 2015 sounds mixed up perfectly.
Another song that stood out to me was “Saeta Screamin’ “, it’s a really deep song and Mattewmaticus got down on this song lyrically. Overall this is a project that has to be downloaded for all Hip Hop heads. It’s a EP that wont disappoint!!!
