Album Review: Zay (Houston, TX) – Leopard Head

Zay definitely created a whole new sound for Texas Hip Hop.  A super fresh new EP titled “Leopard Head” a full 6 track project offering a whole new perspective in Indie Hip Hop.  Complimenting his project is a music video “Put It Down” where he expresses his power and respect in the Hip Hop game.  The beat selection is great, allowing Zay to sound great with the lyrics and storytelling he spits on.  Texas Hip Hop is really over saturated with fake MC’s everywhere so for Zay this must him feel good that he is a true MC reppin real Hip Hop.  All 6 songs on this EP have their own unique sound, story and great message for all Hip Hop enthusiasts.

“Ghetto Hideaway” is a superb song, sampling a true classic Hip Hop song beat “Hell On Earth” with a slight stretch.  The lyrics and sound structure makes it a True Zay Classic song for all Hip Hop heads………………..@UGHHBLOG
