D.Sel – “Vibrations Of The West II” EP (Album Review)
Los Angeles based artist D.Sel drops his 1st album titled “Vibrations of The West ll” EP. Upbeat Melodic rap album compiled by D.Sel sets a fun atmospheric vibe the whole way. The production was very interesting I especially like the post creation in engineering reminded me of a Big Sean & Chance the rapper combination.
The album begins with “welcome to the vibrations” perfect introduction track for “Vibrations Of The West ll” it set the mood for the whole album I was excited to continue. “Past Year” reminds me of the one year every man has that defines him but changes his life forever. I appreciated the honesty and could relate to anybody who tried to get out the ghetto. D. Sel shows his range as he stays in a singing pocket on “Past Year” putting it all on the table for his audience. “Holiday” is so far my favorite track on the album because of the rhythmic tune & climate created. I can definitely see this picked up in a holiday movie, sets seasonal vibe.
“Actin Up” is that I’m stepping out song, everybody has that night were you felling yourself & go out on the town for the intention of having fun with ya boys and you meet that beautiful girl at the club. D.Sel Painted a vivid picture of a magical night. Next on the list “On My Mind” is strictly for the ladys beautiful production by Roy Tsunami as he flawlessly sets the mood. This song was cohesively put together I especially like the production & lyricism showcased by D.Sel.
“Sunday Morning” Good vibes on the west coast as D.Sel gives us another bouncy upbeat track to continue the celebration album. One Thing about D.Sel’s Music its uplifts you just from the frequency it admits a very fun-loving carefree tunes. “Global” is a bucket list song basically D.Sel becoming introspective within his tracks as the album comes to its end to help balance out the whole tape. The last song on “Vibrations Of The West ll” EP “Inspiration” is very high energy track produced by IVN I loved the double entendres used to express his inner motivations using a romantic closer for the conclusion of the album.
