Future D – “Raw” (Album Review)

New music from Nebraska based artist Future D as he delivers a translucent album that grabs your attention from the beginning. “Raw” is just that, the songs gritty and smooth baseline brings out the intensity within the lyrics. Future D’s style of rap is for HIP-HOP purest as he gases the introduction giving a sample of what to expect in the compilation. The emotion and atmosphere “Aint Free” brings fire out of the young artist as it exhibits his versatility and willingness to express his struggles with words. Nothing in life is free, the Nebraska Emcee/Producer gives a life lesson to  show his supporters why time itself is important and how not to waste it.

 “Mc” is for sure a banger, nothing but the truth as Future D reflects on the people around him throughout his years. Every Emcee or hustler can relate to this track on many levels, this “Raw” project mixes Jazz & HIP-HOP giving a smooth album to leave on repeat. “Aye Yo Yo” carries a nostalgic wave feel as Future D travels to the past and gives HIP-HOP a new crate classic. The truth inside these lyrics mirrors the lives of many people trying to prevent new generations from falling into old traps. The hustler mind state is a feeling you create within, so that nobodies effort can affect the present hustle. “What It’s Like” drops gold as Future D says “I got vices to keep me high through all of my crisis, trppin off the meaning trying to find out what life is” showing the introspection within the lyrics and conscious effort to inner-stand them.

Come in with a spark and leave with a bang! Future D comes right back with “WYO” last song on the “Raw” album. The sound and presence is heavy as you can imagine the artist in front of you reciting the lyrics giving the listener a  personal approach.
