Panda City – ”Bad Blocks” EP (Album Review)

Panda City is a new quartet!!!

The first thing listeners will notice upon listening to ‘Bad Blocks‘ is the production. Collective of Hip-Hop and alternative elements mixed together always delivers a unique sound. Six differentiating tracks, the EP’s production help create multiple personas to choose which one you favor the most. A strategy on an EP for listeners to voice their opinion and help lead the group in the right direction for future reference.

It’s not everyday when you run into such a quality band like this!  They really blend in the Hip Hop and rock element extremely well, always keeping the listener in tune from front to back on this album!  We all remember the “Panda City” EP which was a classic to its own, but this project right here clearly shows their evolving and improved sound!  I can’t imagine how dope these dudes are LIVE!!

Overall, the lyricism could use some polishing; however, the production on “Bad Blocks” is well orchestrated. Delivers a mood that provides a connection to focus on the words in front of the beat. The project expresses morality, ambition, and personality. Trial and error aside, “Bad Blocks” reads well throughout the entire project.
