Some Guy Name Kyle – “For The Culture” EP (Album Review)
Some Guy Named Kyle new artist from Wichita, Kansas drops his new Ep “For The Culture”. Motivational songs & sheer honesty , dangerous combination for Emcess. HIP-HOP is a reflection of the times and Some Guy Named Kyle was able to capture his inner most questions about life & society.
The album begins with “One Thing”, it creates a mellow and reflective atmosphere with subtle overtones. The truthfulness displayed on this album allows the listener to bring the words closer to home and process them. Topics like racism and bias natures that are normally overlooked by the western culture recklessly moving through the playing field. “Goodmorning” is a high tempo motivational track with a rhythmic flow. This is an anthem for hustlers and grinders, it brings you inside the trenches of the hustle with the overall message being believe in yourself and the rest will follow.

“Superwoman” is a powerful track that speaks volumes to women all over the globe, I could see it playing in a fashion show as models walk the runway. This song highlights how love makes one grow from unworthiness to finally feeling worthy. It’s certainly a song for any occasion or atmosphere; kickbacks, concerts, festivals etc. “Tomorrow” is a revolutionary song so to speak, the poetry along with the child’s innocent voice and Kyle’s honest bars creates a magical song. Track 6 “I Need a Raise” is very nostalgic of Kanye West, homage song from Some Guy Named Kyle, clear influences of Mr. West & J-Cole. FTC ends with a dedication to his daughter and the greats in HIP-HOP, I would say “Encore” suits the outro.
