VLTIE – “A Day Late x A Dollar Short” EP (Review)
VLTIE dropped a vicious new EP a few weeks back titled , “A Day Late x A Dollar Short”. It incorporates 8 solid tracks, these tracks brings out the best of what new and fresh 2016 Hip Hop/R&B has to offer. Yep, we said it, R&B. This is not your typical Hip Hop project. VLTIE is a true hybrid, mixing his sound 50/50 split with dope Hip Hop and R&B. Honestly, we have never came across a project like this before. His originality in his sound, voice, rhythm and overall song structure is at a 100% ORIGINAL level. Typically we would not dabble into the R&B seen but VLTIE’s was an absolute exception. As soon as you scope out this EP, everyone reading this will know exactly why we made this exception. He is DOPE, plain and simple.
The production on this project is flawless, accompanied by Giovanni, Bliss, and YungPage, all great up and coming producers who really go hand in hand with VLTIE’s sound and lyrical talent. We were really impressed by the EP’s artwork cover as well, its real simple and eye-catching at the same time. Out of the 8 tracks, my favorites are “Right Of Way” & “I Heard It Before” w/ MxG Reem. Overall we approve this EP for fans out there who are looking for fresh quality music. I’m positive that VLTIE has a bright future ahead of him. Make sure to check out this EP today! BTW…Its actually available as a FREE download on Soundcloud and that’s a real good look. Not a lot of artist offer a full EP absolutely for FREE!
