Young Miracle Tha Prince – “The Preview” (Mixtape Review)
North Carolina’s own “Young Miracle Tha Prince” drops his newest tape titled “The Preview”. The Compilation proves to be hard-hitting but just the surface of what’s expected. The young artist compiles 12 tracks among skits featuring interviews to introduce storylines. As the album begins with “Focused Pt1” just some opening bars creating a visual of the album then transitions into “Smoke N Chill Preview”. The chill laid back sound pulls you in through the delivery could be more precise. The album continues with “Bout That LIfe (Reloaded)” which was one of my favorite cuts on the compilation. I was captivated by the single as it was well written and the production was flawless.
The album continues with “Bout That LIfe (Reloaded)” another favorite of mine as it gives off a high energy capable of setting the atmosphere in dance and action movies. Rolling forward Young Miracle creates an intermission called “The Skit (Talking Shit)” explaining his direction in life & HIP-HOP. The young artist from North Carolina express his upbringing and why music means so much to him after being engulfed in the street life and transitioning into the man he is today.
“The Preview” Continues with “Focused 2” back again like pt 1, Young Miracle comes in with bars and continues the tape with the masterful sound of “I Think I Want It All” this track solidifies the tempo for the whole tape and is easily my number one favorite on the track list. Very introspective & materialistic highlighting the attraction and gains of acquiring money and power. “Just Practice” comes right in after and the rawness lures you in as the lyricism explodes and ends the album with a tidal wave.
