Antz (Santa Maria, CA) – “Then to Now” (What It’s Worth)
I go by the name of Antz an I’m from the Central Coast of the 805. I am an independent HipHop/Rap artists as a writer, recorder, live performer, and small time promoter. Music has always been a stress reliever and motivation for me. When I didn’t have no one I had music. Basically I love poetry and I been writing since early 2000’s. I didn’t actually get into writing full length songs and recording until around 2009. I got into live performances in early 2011 doing hip hop shows for independent promoters in California from San Luis Obispo to Orange County. I don’t believe in the mainstreams reasons for music so I try my best to learn and teach from my own life so their fore my music is based on real life situations and personal experiences.
Album Review; The album “What It’s Worth” was just thought of earlier this year but ran off the bonus track “Days Worth” which was made late last year. My boy JBP shot me a pack of 9 beats in February and I went to work. The album is based on my life and what it has been worth through out some of my experiences from being kid to an adult. I did all the recording, my boy JBP did all the beats, and my boy Cynical did all the mixing making it sound more legit. My love for real life music is poured into this album.
