Anwar (Cathedral City, CA) – Cruda Realidad

Ask Anwar aka ‘Babars‘ how he feels about his place in the rap game, he will quickly answer you “Amazing!”  Most of us at some point in our lives have dreamt about making music. Making an album, or working with the artists who inspired us. Tearing up stages and building a loyal fan base would all be a part of living out this dream. For Anwar this dream seemed even more unlikely, as a young music loving child immigrating to the U.S. from Mexico.

Well, in the past 3 years Anwar has accomplished all that and much more. His powerful lyrics and strong work ethic landed him in recording sessions with popular MC’s such as Percee P, Planet Asia as well as Bizzy Bone of the legendary group ‘Bone Thugs -n- Harmony.’ With these potent features and impressive track record he began to compile his debut album “The Legendz Almanack” along side collaborator ‘SaintCharles.’ In 2012 Anwar developed and released the album independently to all major online distributors including iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody etc. As well as enjoying daily spins on Pandora. Physical copies of the album are sold in retailers such as Amoeba Records & The Record Alley. In 2013 the success of his first album kept Anwar busy performing live throughout California, sharing stages with artists like Ra the rugged Man, Keith Murray, Percee P, Skyzoo and The Alkaholiks.
