BFG (Los Angeles, CA) – Ms. Appropriate /// UndergroundHipHopBLOG.com
Los Angeles-based duo BFG (Mosey Freeman & Real Rashy) are probably on a couch somewhere right now, it might be yours, we might be drunk, and we’re almost certainly overstaying our welcome. Their debut album (mixtape for legal purposes), “Miss Appropriate” is a blend of in-studio chuckling, playful sadness and emasculating sincerity. Charged with the frustrations life tosses 20-somethings, their lyrics bounce from judicial indiscretions to imaginary pools of sharks all the way to Terrence Howard and a secret inner fear we may have more in common than we’d like. Big Fucking Gentlemen are the sort of friends of who nod and pour another, rather than tell you everything is going to be okay, because that’s bullshit.
