Brian Cleven Haden aka “Biggz” (born May 2, 1988 in Baltimore, MD) is an American hip hop recording artist, songwriter, producer, audio engineer, and entrepreneur. Being exposed and involved in the arts all his life, Biggz began producing and audio engineering at the age of 14 in Virginia Beach, VA, becoming more involved in the city’s hip hop scene. He gained prominence as a producer, audio engineer, and hip hop artist for Major Movement Ent. Biggz achieved recognition for his work with Mike Millz (aka Farrock Millz of Red Light Management), AK of Grand Hustle (of T.I.’s Label), Mullege (of Jive Records), Bizzare (of D12), and Bubba Sparks (of Universal Records). His production style went from using vocal samples from 80’s Rock music mixed with his original beats to including 1970’s R&B, trip hop, folk, alternative, electronic, synthpop, and classical music.
Biggz has always had a desire to become a rapper but people did not always take him seriously viewing him as a producer first and foremost. After being signed to Hood Platinum, Biggz released his debut mixtape Get the Money Vol. 1 in 2004 to commercial and critical acclaim. The reaction to his first mixtape inspired Get the Money Vol. 2 followed 2006, and Get the Money Vol. 3 in 2010. He opened up for artist such as Mullage (of Jive Records), Jim Jones (of Diplomat Records), and performed on the Warped Tour, at the The Norva and The Scope. Biggz owned his own label, Major Movement Ent., from 2004 to 2009 and decided to put all his focus into producing and audio engineering thereafter. In 2013 he picked up a pen and hasn’t thought of putting down since, little did he know that his passion for writing would get the best of him. Following several collaborations, Biggz is working on his highly anticipated The Life of Biggz, which is a collection of songs he has completed since returning to music as an artist, which will then be followed by his album release.
Biggz background and style, from his debut mixtapes, deviated from the then-dominant “gangsta” persona in hip hop, and later altered the genre stylistically as rappers adopted his alternative aesthetic. An outspoken and controversial celebrity, he has often been the source of music in Virginia and some of the east coasts most prominent Hip Hop artist with a style different from other artist. Biggz runs his own group, WORLD ORDER, and will soon start a new record label of his own.
