TRE-L (New Jersey) is not a femcee, but an emcee who happens to be a female. Growing up with an eclectic music background, Tre-L has always had a passion for the hip hop genre. She began writing lyrics around the age of 10 and continued writing occasionally ever since. In high school, Tre would entice friendly class rivalries by rhyming about underclassmen on the loudspeaker. Besides these instances, Tre-L started dabbling into the relm of creating music by freestyling with friends and at local parties. However, it was not until she was in college that she began taking her music more seriously and started writing lyrics more at the age of 20. While taking some time off of school she released her first mixtape entitled “Real Talk”, which she recorded entirely off of her laptop. What started off as a hobby soon turned into a passion she decided to keep pursuing.

In March 2009 Tre linked up with Pryme Prolifik of Rotten Garden Records and began making more hits. It was during this time period that Tre was finally able to adapt to her own style of writing. It was easier for her to write a song with a message than a song about popping bottles in the club. She soon after became a part of Rotten Garden Records and credits Pryme Prolifik for helping her grow artistically.

After graduating from college Tre was able to fully focus on her music career. She began recording more music and performing at more shows. In September of 2011 she released her first solo album “Trapped Talent” through Goldminded Records and Rotten Garden Records. Her stay at GMD was short lived and Tre parted ways with the label soon after her album released. However, she remained loyal to Rotten Garden and released her second album through that label, “Memoirs of an Emo Rapper”. Where in her first album she felt she had to prove her lyrical talent, Tre wanted to focus more on making music she felt others could relate to and is more relaxed on the Memoirs.

Tre-L continues to grind performing endless shows in the New Jersey/New York area and has traveled to perform in several other states along the east coast. She has opened up for hip hop legends including Keith Murray, Sadat X, Masta Ace, and Lord Jamar, to underground hip hop veterans La Coka Nostra, Jedi Mind Tricks, C-Rayz Walz, Reef the Lost Cauze, and Pacewon to name a few. Tre-L continues adding to her resume and has the potential to be in the hip hop game for quite some time. She has proven time and time again that she is fully capable of rapping with the big boys.
