From his early ages to his mid-teens Durdy aka Matt Biafore striven to prove his strong ability to deliver meaningful, opinionated lyrics in his songs. From drugs, Violence and money Durdy quickly realized that this was his escape, also keeping a infinite passion for his poetry and song writing. “Its like a drug to me, i put the music on and just escape reality”.
Born in Toronto and raised in Meadowvale, Mississauga known to Durdy as “Slumville”, Durdy came to his senses after four years of development and decided he wasn’t going to record on a tape recorder anymore, but start fast tracking towards hos goal to be a successful Hip-Hop artist.
Durdy’s hunger to prove he was not just your average artist. Through blood, sweat and tears, Durdy caught the attention of a talented young producer who goes by the name “Dj Quick Kutz”.
Eager to do work together, in 2005 “Dj Quick Kutz” produced Durdy’s first album “Destroy and Never Rebuild”. In 2006 Durdy hosted “The Lab Vol. 1” which was a low budget mixtape featuring various artists in his hometown.
Dedicated to his music Durdy did not once think of giving up and was always inspired by his favorite arists such as Mobb Deep, Nas, Non Phixion and Cage.
Summer of 2013 Durdy dropped a professionally mixed and mastered album named “One Way Ticket” which was recorded at “Metal Works studios” in Mississauga, Ontario Canada. The album features artists such as “Havoc” of Mobb Deep and “Styles P”, legends that Durdy grew up listening to.
