Fat Tony & LMNOP – “Go In” Ft. Yung Jake

LA producer LMNOP & Houston MC Fat Tony are rap’s unlikeliest duo. LMNOP usually makes electro-pop records and Fat Tony is presumably busy with his new show on Viceland. Still, they managed to link and surprise fans with a two-track LP: “Go In / Ride Out”.

The intro, “Go In” is a standout. The record is a fast-paced banger that features a beat switch. LMNOP’s production on the record is frantic, layered and clever. His beat switch is unusually satisfying; he teases it throughout the song and pulls it off at the perfect moment. Fat Tony’s bars are rapid-fire, cold and monotone. Yung Jake’s auto-crooning is the opposite. A perfect balance.
