“Ikonic,” born as  Maceo Lester in Baltimore, MD is a 22 year old Rapper/Songwriter bringing back the reality and musical aspect of Hip-Hop. Ikonic began rapping and writing songs around the age of 5, often accompanying his brother as he played drums. His father would record the both of them as they had jam sessions in their basement. Ikonic delivers raw lyrics intertwined with “boom-bap” beats which resemble the East Coast Hip-Hop of the early 90’s. Ikonic speaks about real-life situations, personal problems, society issues, and topics that are just easy to relate to.  He’s simply an ordinary guy who happens to rap, every time he steps to the mic he intends to either; entertain, enhance, or educate his audience.
Ikonic is not only a rapper but a songwriter and the CEO of his own company(s.) During his freshman year of college he founded his own record label titled Intergalactic Movement Entertainment. He partnered up with his friends and fellow rappers Josh Smith and Marcus Mooney and began writing songs, making beats, and booking shows in the DMV area. Ikonic also is a fashion designer, after completing college he created his own clothing line “ST33LO” (Stop the Excuses Elevate Life Ourselves.) The clothing brand goes hand-and-hand with his latest EP titled “ST33LO.” The ST33LO campaign is full-fledge and is gaining much attention on college campuses and social media.
